# About Cohort One

Cohort One is co-founded by **Daniel Wright** and **Jakub Piorkowski**.

## The thesis

Solo AI founders tend to stall in months four to eight, after the launch rush
fades. Three forces converge:

- **Distribution** is collapsing behind AI answers, so being found is a new game.
- **Retention and defensibility** are fragile — a single model release can make yesterday's wrapper feel replaceable, and the story has to move from clever implementation to something investors believe can compound.
- **Capital** still clusters around old networks and relocation myths, when fundraising should follow traction and preparation.

The company needs a room where the pressure is honest and the advice is
operational.

## How it runs

Cohort One is operator-led — not a generic accelerator and not for students. The
support is venture-grade: capital, an investor network and opt-in equity
alignment, combined with hands-on work on evals, cost engineering, distribution,
agents and sales. It runs over 12 months across four phases; see the
